The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is a unique journey through the heart of the Langtang region of Nepal. This trek takes you through small Tamang villages, allowing you to experience the rich culture and traditions of the Tamang people. The Tamang people are known for their warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, and unique customs that have been preserved for centuries.The Trek begins in the village of Syabrubesi and takes you through lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and picturesque valleys. You will have the opportunity to see stunning views of the Langtang Himalayas, including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Jugal Himal.
Along the way, you will visit traditional Tamang villages like Gatlang, Thuman, and Briddim. These villages are known for their unique architecture, including traditional houses made of stone and wood. The Tamang people are known for their excellent craftsmanship, and you will have the opportunity to witness their skills first-hand.The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek also offers the opportunity to witness traditional Tamang festivals and celebrations. The Tamang people celebrate their culture and traditions through various festivals like the Yartung Festival, which is celebrated in the month of August. During the festival, the Tamang people dress in traditional attire and perform traditional dances and songs.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will have some time to rest and explore the vibrant city of Kathmandu on your own. In the evening, we will have a welcome dinner and briefing session where you will meet your trekking guide and fellow trekkers.
After an early breakfast, we will depart from Kathmandu and head towards Syabrubesi, which is located on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. We will drive through scenic countryside, with stunning views of the Himalayas along the way. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, we will check into our lodge and have some time to explore the village.
Today, we will start our trek towards Gatlang, a beautiful Tamang village situated on a hillside with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. We will pass through lush forests and cross the Bhote Koshi River before arriving at Gatlang. Here, we will stay in a traditional Tamang homestay and experience the local culture and hospitality.
Today's trek takes us through terraced fields and dense forests to Tatopani, which translates to 'hot water' in Nepali. Here, we can relax in the natural hot springs and soothe our tired muscles after the trek. We will spend the night in a lodge in Tatopani.
Today, we will cross over the Nagthali Gyang pass, which offers spectacular views of the Langtang range and the Ganesh Himal. We will then descend to the village of Thuman, which is known for its unique Tibetan culture and architecture. We will stay in a homestay and learn about the local way of life.
After breakfast, we will trek to Briddim, a picturesque village located on the ancient trade route to Tibet. We will pass through terraced fields and traditional houses before arriving at Briddim. Here, we will stay in a homestay and interact with the locals to learn more about their customs and traditions.
Today, we will trek back to Syabrubesi, our starting point of the trek. We will retrace our steps through the lush forests and terraced fields before reaching Syabrubesi. We will have some time to explore the village and relax before our final day of the trip.
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu, where we will say goodbye to our trekking crew and check into our hotel. We will have the rest of the day to explore the city on our own or do some last-minute souvenir shopping

ACCOMMODATION IN KATHMANDU : sharing a twin bedroom at the hotel (3 Star category) in Kathmandu on a bed & breakfast basis

Our guides carry communication devices and have contacts with local agencies to ensure swift action during emergencies. In extreme cases, helicopter evacuations can be arranged, given that the trekker has suitable insurance coverage.
