The Complete Guide to Kali Gandaki River Rafting
Rafting down the Kali Gandaki River is an unforgettable adventure that takes you through some of the most spectacular and remote landscapes of Nepal. The Kali Gandaki River is one of the holiest rivers in Nepal and offers some of the most exhilarating rafting experiences in the country. The river originates from the Mustang region of Nepal and flows through the deepest gorge in the world, separating the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.
Itinerary
DAY 1 - Arrival and Rafting to Campsite
Meet your guide in Pokhara, Nepal early in the morning.
Drive to the put-in point for the rafting trip at Nayapul (approximately 3-4 hours).
Have breakfast and attend a safety briefing and training session.
Begin rafting down the Kaligandaki River, enjoying the beautiful scenery and exciting rapids.
Stop for a picnic lunch on the riverbank.
Continue rafting until reaching the campsite for the night.
Set up camp, have dinner, and relax around a campfire.DAY 2 - Rafting and Camping on the Riverbank
Have breakfast and pack up camp.
Resume rafting down the Kaligandaki River, encountering more thrilling rapids along the way.
Stop for lunch on the riverbank.
Arrive at the next campsite in the late afternoon.
Set up camp, have dinner, and spend the evening relaxing or exploring the area.DAY 3 - Final Rafting Stretch and Departure
Have breakfast and pack up camp.
Continue rafting down the Kaligandaki River, enjoying the final stretch of rapids.
Stop for a picnic lunch on the riverbank.
Arrive at the take-out point in the early afternoon.

While basic swimming skills are recommended, they are not required. All participants are required to wear a life jacket, and our guides will teach you the necessary safety skills to enjoy the trip.
We recommend leaving electronic devices in a safe, dry location as they may be damaged or lost during the rafting trip. Our guides will take photos and videos of your adventure, which you can purchase after the trip.
We provide snacks and water on the trip, but you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks if desired. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences.
We recommend booking as far in advance as possible. We run at capacity for most of the summer and many trips will sell out well over a month in advance.

Unfortunately, there is currently no third-party insurance system available for Nepal's whitewater industry, meaning that we are unable to provide insurance coverage for participants. To ensure the safety of all our clients, we require that they have appropriate emergency medical and evacuation insurance that is suitable for the activity and adventure level they are undertaking.
